The student body at any college will have its own uniqueness, but what makes the bible college experience and education worth the investment for freshmen? The student community! The college experience is what you learn as well as who you know, because who you know on campus may lead to amazing growth or career opportunities decades later.
The student body at Boise Bible College is particularly special because of character development. As part of the curriculum, BBC uses what we call the Waypoints Program to help students grow in:
and CHARACTER FORMATION.
This creates a student body with a strong sense of:
All of these qualities you’d want to see in a leader, an employee, a parent, an entrepreneur, a pastor, a friend, or a colleague. This is the reason why so many organizations want to hire our students. Our students have grit and tons of personality!
“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education”
Martin Luther King
Along with being serious about becoming who God designed them to be, our students know how to enjoy life. Because BBC is located in the beautiful urban wildlife of Boise, our students spend a lot of time outdoors on the Greenbelt or in the Foothills. In addition, the Sport’s Committee coordinates inter-mural sporting events for students to enjoy. Of course, what’s college without late-night fast-food runs and staying up late making silly memories? Many students find themselves at Merritt’s Cafe or Shari’s. See our post “Top 10 Things To Do in Boise, Idaho” for other activities in Boise! There is so much to do on and off campus that our students are hardly ever bored.
If you are a student who is looking for more than a college degree, then BBC might just be what you are looking for. You’ll not only soak in the richness of God’s word, you’ll receive mentorship from spiritually mature upperclassmen and/or faculty and staff. The community of BBC is a family that looks after one another and challenges one another in Christ. What makes the BBC student body so unique is its character.
